Storyville Blue Book

Property owners, madams, liquor retailers and other anonymous interested parties published guides to the red light district, known as Blue Books, from 1898 to 1915. The books included advertisements for liquor, beer, and sure cures for sexually transmitted diseases, as well as descriptions of Storyville’s best bordellos and the names of the prostitutes who worked there.
